Thesis geometry latex

Separation between the bottom of text body (baseline) and the top of footnote text. Distance separation between baseline of last line of text and baseline of footer. Width of the margin notes. Element 10 in the figure. The paper size can be set to any size you need by means of the command papersize= {⟨width⟩,⟨height⟩} .

In the template, I used the same font size throughout the title page (\Large). To center content of the title page and still use twoside-margins for the thesis, use the geometry package: \documentclass[12pt, oneside]{book} \usepackage{geometry} \begin{document} % Oneside titlepage ewgeometry{twoside} % Twoside thesis content \end{document}

Finally, each margin is set to 2 in. The regular LaTeX page dimensions are presented (with example values) in picture at the right of this section. The geometry package provides a flexible and easy interface to change page dimensions. You can change the page layout with intuitive parameters:

The additional argument to ps2pdf is required as the default paper size is US Letter. Note that you will probably need to bibtex your thesis file before running latex for the final time.
